Unemployment rate falls to lowest since March 2009

WASHINGTON

Employers added 120,000 jobs last month. And the previous two months to show that much more work-months of 72.000 added a fourth straight that the Government had revised prior month is higher.

Private employers added a net profit of 140,000 jobs in November. But the Government shed 20,000 jobs, mostly at the local level and the State. Governments at all levels have shed nearly a half-million jobs last year.

More than half the jobs added last month by retailers, restaurants and bars, a sign that the holidays hiring has kicked in. Professional and business services also increased. That means the economy is likely to add more high-paying jobs–more engineers, accountants and high-tech workers.
