His wife and daughter of Othon Cortes end of Miami sued and Sky Chefs airline more than $ 1 million, claiming he ate food contaminated with bacteria during a flight from Barcelona, Spain to New York.
The incident occurred on May 18 – after Cortes consumed food on the plane that allegedly contains chicken, according to a lawsuit filed last week in U.s. District Court in Miami.
As is typical for active lawsuits, American Airlines declined to comment about the complaint or indictment, said Tim Smith, a spokesman for the operator.
In the meantime, LSG Sky Chefs–a company that produces food Germany airline for more than 300 airlines–had begun proceedings to dismiss the case, said spokeswoman Josefine Corsten.
