Founder of Angel Food ministries, a non-profit group based Monroe scattered discounters national food before closing in September, has been indicted by federal grand jury and will surrender to authorities, a lawyer for one of the founders said.
Linda Wingo, her husband Wesley Joseph Wingo and his son Andy Wingo on Friday will transform themselves into federal officials in Macon and appear before the Justice of the U.S., said Edward Tolley, Athens lawyers representing Linda Wingo.
Angel Food Ministries is a non-profit 17 years provided food for people in 45 States and closed in the fall, citing increased costs for food, fuel, and operation. Full-time staff of 90 people being laid off.
