The couple were caught to Hopedale jewelry robbery

Following the investigation over the past week, a man and a woman were arrested Thursday on charges they stole jewelry worth up to $ 16,000 from a local woman, police said.

Bridgette LeBlanc, 22, of 8 Emil Drive, Thompson, Conn., and Travis Bergeron, 28, of 15 Bancroft Park, Hopedale, charged with larceny of a building, larceny of the more than $ 250, and receiving stolen property over $ 250, police said.

Bergeron is also charged with assault and refuse the arrest and beating of a police officer, police said.

Bergeron was arrested outside a restaurant in Milford at 10 p.m. Thursday, said police Detective Marco Lima Hopedale. LeBlanc was arrested in Auburn at 7: 30 pm Thursday, Five said.

The pair steal gold jewelry from a woman from whom Hopedale Bergeron is renting a room, police said. Woman says police LeBlanc and Bergeron lived at her house one night around 1 December, according to court documents.
